Discipline Procedure
Mother Catherine Spalding uses a program
of positive reward for following rules and
assertive consequences for rule
infractions.
1. Teacher's
Role:
Each teacher develops rules of behavior
and a discipline plan for his/her
classroom. At the beginning of the
school year, these are discussed with the
students. Our students understand
that they are ultimately responsible for
their own behavior.
Most instances of misbehavior are handled
by the teacher in the classroom according
to that teacher's discipline plan.
This includes teachers of all subjects in
all grades.
2. Principal's
Role
If a student has difficulty adapting to a
teacher's classroom behavioral
requirement, the Principal becomes
involved in increasingly intensive
interventions.
3. DISCIPLINE
