Luncheons

Mother Catherine Spalding School has two "SPECIAL" luncheons each year.  Currently our Coordinator for the 2002/2003 School year for both of these Luncheons (Grandparent's Day Luncheon and Thanksgiving Day Luncheon) is Debbie Johnson.

One of the luncheons is in honor of "Grandparent's Day", in which the children are encouraged to invite their Grandparents to have lunch with them during school.  This is a "Time-Honored-Tradition" within the MCSS Family -which the students and Grandparents thoroughly enjoy.

Our other Luncheon is the "Thanksgiving Luncheon", where we provide local Nursing Home residents with a wonderful Thanksgiving Lunch in our School Cafeteria.  The Nursing Home Residents are brought to the school, served lunch by the students, in addition to receiving hand-crafted cards made by the students.  This is a very "spiritual" activity -- as it touches everyone involved.
